RJ White gets the chicks while the jock stands alone!

One of my favorite movies: Brief Encounter.

A writer contacted me last year via flickr to ask if he could use three of my photos in a book he was writing. I said sure, just give me credit under my real name and not my flickr name. I apologized that they were not high-quality images, but he said they’d work fine and he’d mail me a copy of the book when it published. I just got it today and my three photos are featured near the end in “The End of an Era” section. Fun!

Aww, I just noticed the authors personalized and signed it for me. Double fun!

Laura: Can we go shopping or something? I don’t want to be here.

Mickie: Let’s wait until the temp rises 20 degrees as they promised and then, yes, SHOPPING.

Laura: Can we buy everything we see and twirl around in the sun with our big shopping bags?

Mickie: Haha! While holding down our big, floppy sun hats! Then, we’ll go get drinks at a place where the tables are too small and our bags will surround us at our feet.

Laura: Babies being pushed by in strollers will grin and laugh when they see us. The waiter will let us know the older gentleman at the bar took care of our bill. We look over and he looks like Sean Connery but it can’t be!?!
